De-link employment package from return to Valley: PK
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Jammu, July 27: Panun Kashmir today appealed to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to remove from the employment package for the displaced community, the clause of returning to the Valley.
“We appeal to the PM and the CM to realize the gravity of the situation prevailing in Kashmir and intervene ` by de-linking the employment package for displaced Kashmiri Hindus from return to the Valley,” the leaders of PK told reporters here today.
Its chairman, Ajay Chrungoo said all the new posts created for the youth of the community should be shifted to Jammu where the situation is stable.
Claiming that the situation in Valley was worse than what had existed in after Sangrampura, Wandhama and Nagimarg incidents, Chrungoo said in such a situation, it is baffling for the members of the community to understand as to why the government was persisting with its policy of implementing the PM’s Employment Package only if Pandits agree to return to the Valley.
