DGP unable to reach PHQ

Srinagar: In an apparent embarrassment for the administration, the Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khuda on Tuesday couldn't reach his office –the Police Headquarters, Pirbagh due traffic jams enroute at adjacent Hyderpora square.
 Greater Kashmir learnt from reliable sources that given the massive gridlock of vehicles at the suburb square, the state police chief was advised to skip the office or else he too would have to spent hours in the jams as held true for many senior officials including IGPs.
 Witnesses said many senior officials of the rank of IGPs leave apart others could be seen stuck in the jams.
 Finally, avoiding the mess, the DGP straight drove to Islamabad where he was scheduled to chair a meeting. Thereafter, he went home.
 Many of the officials who had managed reaching the PHQ preferred not to leave the office till late in the evening when the traffic reduced.
