Hurriyat (G) blames Omar for killings

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, July 27: The acting chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, on Tuesday blamed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for all the killings across the Valley including the recent “custodial” killing of Tariq Ahmad in Panzala Police station and murder of Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Batamaloo.
“Omar Abdullah is least concerned about the safety and security of the life and property of people. His only concern is chair. He is following the foot steps of his grandfather who traded the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris for power,” Sumjhi said. “During his dark period as Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah, often used to say that the pro-freedom leaders should be killed instantly after their arrest as there was no place in jails. Yesterday only, he again talked of shooting Kashmir which implied that Kashmiris should be fired upon,” he added.  Sumjhi strongly condemned the filing of cases against doctors, lawyers and employees by the government. “Such repressive tactics won’t break our resolve and victory will be ours only. Entire nation stands besides them.”  He saluted the firm resolve and determination of incarcerated senior leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani  and thousands others including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai,  advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom,  Gen Musa, Mir Hafizullah, Dr Muhammad Qasim,  Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Ayaz Akbar, Muhammad Yousuf Mujahid and  Muhammad Ashraf Laya. He demanded their immediate release.
