Obtaining contractor cards made easy

Srinagar July 27: Government has amended some clauses of existing norms regarding issuance of Contractor Cards, enabling the persons living in remote and hilly areas of the State to get contractor cards easily.
 According to a notification issued under SRO-277, the Chief Engineer of concerned department would be competent to issue Contractor Cards in favour of special class and A-class contractors, while as Superintending Engineers concerned would be competent to issue the cards to B, C and D class Contractors.
