Sad situation

It is sad to see the present situation that people of Kashmir are facing. As a Kashmiri living abroad, I feel the pain and sorrow over the gross violations of human rights committed unabatedly by security forces. In the meantime our so called leaders are complicating the situation by calling for more strikes and Hartals. Any agitation has to be sustainable and not to bring it to the breaking point. First both factions of Hurriyat should join hands together rather than scoring political points at the cost of young and innocent lives. Secondly keep the pressure on by sit-ins District by District alternately; therefore people will not feel the brunt of strikes. Educational institutions should not be affected as it is imperative for our children to be competitive in the modern world. Lastly, open the avenues for dialogue with New Delhi in one voice.
