Obama statement

This refers to the recent statement of US president Barrack Obama about Kashmir. He had advised Kashmiri Muslims to protest peacefully.  What a painful taunt and cruel joke he has played on Kashmiri Muslims.  I wonder has he kept his eyes shut while issuing such a  sermon when he very well knows what does it mean to be in Kashmir.
Mr. President. You are not oblivious to the happenings in Kashmir.  You know how the Kashmiri Muslims are chained, oppressed and suppressed and how Kashmir has been turned into a large prison.  How for the last more than 20 years, after the Great Uprising which came about after their democratic elections in 1997 were thoroughly rigged, their media, press and local television channels are gagged and muzzled.  Section 144 C.Cr.P is continually their fate, and declared, undeclared curfews, and curfew like restrictions, are their diet.  How they are not allowed to assemble and express their emotions freely and democratically. How the Sword of Damocles in the shape of AFSPA hangs on the head of a common Kashmiri. Before making statements about Kashmir, he must know the situation on the ground.
