Rs 1.86 cr goods traded between JK and PAK

Poonch, July 28: Goods worth over Rs 1.86 crore were traded between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) along the Line of Control (LoC) at the Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch district today, officials said.
As many as eight trucks rolled out of the Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC) at Ranger in Poonch district of J&K to PaK today, they said, adding that the trucks carried bags of coconuts, red chilli and embroidered items worth Rs 45,86,915.
From PaK, as many as 16 trucks carrying bags of herbs, almonds, dates and pista -- worth Rs 1,41,06,670 -- crossed over to this side, they said.
Officials from both the sides monitored the transportation of these goods at the Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point twice during the day, from 1200 hrs to 1230 hrs and 1700 hrs to 1730 hrs respectively, they said. Goods worth over Rs 4.12 crore were traded between the two sides over the last couple of days.
