'Media, politicians trying to trivialize protests'
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, July 2: National Conference leader, Javed Iqbal Shah has criticized a section of National media and statements made by of some Kashmiri politicians who according to him were trying to trivialize the current spate of unabated spontaneous, mass protests by tainting Kashmiris as paid stone-pelters.
In a statement, he said, “Some spin doctors of the electronic media in particular have let their imagination run wild to embark upon a theory of relating the ongoing turmoil to the impending Amarnath Yatra- revealing an imaginary attempt to vitiate it. Fact remains the suffering, anger and dissatisfaction of the people for whatever reason, cannot be dismissed as the handiwork of LeT only to conceal failures of mainstream parties,” he said.
