BOPEE declares CET result in 4-days
Girls Outshine Boys, Bag First 5 Positions
SAMAAN LATEEF
Srinagar, July 2: Girls have yet again outshined boys in the Common Entrance Test (CET) by securing first five positions. The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) declared the CET results on Friday barely 4-days after it conducted the test.
A Kashmiri girl, Ifra Abid topped the CET by securing 210 points out of 225, Gulbadin Mufti bagged the second slot with 206 points, other three positions were bagged by Azmat Jahan, Yusra Amin, Ruksana Farooq and Armish Reyaz.
The chairman BOPEE Mushtaq Ahmad Peer told Greater Kashmir that 18,044 candidates had appeared in the entrance test for admissions in MBBS, BDS, BVSC, BAMS, BUMS, B. Sc Agriculture, B. Tech and other allied courses.
He said the Board had provided carbon copy of the answer sheets to the candidates and had put the answer key on the Board’s website.
Peer said on Monday Board had asked the candidates that if they had any complaint with the answers they should file the application in 3-days. “We received 18 representations about five questions including one in Physics, two in Biology and two in Chemistry. We considered the complaints and gave benefits to the students,” Mushtaq added.
In medicine first three toppers are from Kashmir while in engineering the first three toppers are from Jammu division, he said.
For MBBS the Board would start counseling from July 15 while as for engineering the counseling would start from July 29, he added.
“The candidates should be present personally in the counseling along with admit cards
issued by BOPEE,” Peer said.
“Board will also conduct examination for admission in diploma courses in polytechnics in the last week of July,” he added.
