Kashmir safe for Yatris: Moulana Showkat
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, July 2: Describing Kashmir as safest place for Amarnath Yatris, the Jamiat Ahlihadith Jammu and Kashmir president, Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah has said Kashmiris had always been extending wholehearted cooperation to make it (Yatra) successfully.
Moulana flayed the communal elements for unleashing negative propaganda that the Yatra would be disrupted, terming their statements as irresponsible.
He said, “During 2008 agitation, the Kashmiri Muslims provided all facilities including food, shelter and medicines to non-state Amarnath Yatris and other tourists, speaking volumes of their religious tolerance and hospitality.” He assured all the Amarnath Yatris and tourists that Kashmir would demonstrate the same hospitality during the yatra.
