Prof Punjabi for up-gradation of Girls’ Hostels

Srinagar, July 2: The Kashmir University vice-chancellor, Prof. Riyaz Punjabi, on Thursday instructed the officials to upgrade the browsing centres, information technology units and reading rooms of the girls’ hostels in the varsity.
During his visit to the Girls Hostels to take stock of the facilities, he interacted with the students and reviewed the ongoing works.
The VC also gave instructions to make available the services of a female engineer in the Girls Hostels to facilitate the regular monitoring and upkeep of the infrastructure.
Prof. Punjabi was accompanied by the KU Registrar Prof. S Fayyaz Ahmad, Provost, Prof Naseem A Shah, wardens and other officials of the University. Besides providing free medical supplies and healthcare facilities, Prof. Punjabi directed the medical staff of the university to keep round the clock services available to the students.
