Rock blasting injures 6
Jammu, July 2: Six persons were injured, one of the critically, during blasting of a rock at a road construction site in Arnas area of Reasi district.
Official sources said the labourers, engaged in the road construction, used dynamite for rock blasting. “Ten people who accidentally passed through the construction site, at the time of the blast, came under its impact”, sources said adding, “Six of them were injured”.
Police said the matter was being investigated to ascertain as to why the precautionary measures were not taken before carrying out the blast.
