1 killed, 9 Amarnath Yatris injured in road mishaps

Ganderbal, July 29: A man was killed and nine Amarnath Yatris were wounded in separate road mishaps in Ganderbal.
 Ghulam Ahmad Ganaie, 60, son of Abdul Gaffar Ganaie of Baroosa was killed when a vehicle (JK01G-1752) hit him at Baroosa here on Thursday.
 Meanwhile, nine Amaranth Yatris were injured when the vehicle (DL43 CAD-1578) they were travelling in skidded off the road at Preng here and fell into river Sindh on Thursday.
 The vehicle was returning from Baltal to Srinagar when the mishap occurred. 
 The injured are Rita wife of Ashish Yadav, Vinod Kumar, Kamal Sing, Rao Singh, Susheel Gupta, Rajesh, Dr. Nisalwash Kumar, Kantiprasad Saxena and driver Rayees Khan of Najabgarh New Delhi. The wounded have been hospitalised, police said adding the driver had been shifted to B&J hospital Srinagar.
 Meanwhile, a Tata Sumo (JK05-9721) hit and injured Aamir Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Rather of Budmulla near Forest Check Post, Sheeri Varmul. The injured has been hospitalised.
