Army convoy furthered Hyderpora mess
WE THE Srinagarites
I am witness to the chaos at Hyderpora square on Tuesday. Perhaps most people who suffered on the road that day that don’t know that it was an army convoy which messed up the traffic chaos by driving on the wrong side in the morning that day.
That day, I saw how courageous a woman police official could be. DSP Traffic, City, Nighat Amaan, as her name plate revealed, dared to stop the army convoy and grilled up the men in green for violating the norms. She got the army vehicles dumped outside a shopping mall for a few hours. Hundreds of onlookers are witness to the scene.
Despite all odds she managed to make the passengers reach Airport otherwise just imagine how many could have missed their flights?
