HC stays fresh GAD order
Jammu, July 29: Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu wing has stayed operation of an order passed by the General Administrative Department (GAD) imposing fresh conditions on the payment of House Rent Allowance (HRA) and City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) to migrant employees in government services.
Issuing notices to the state, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir directed that the order GAD order NO 754- dated June 28, 2010 shall remain stayed, subject to the objections from the other side.
The order challenged in the court was passed by the GAD reportedly in compliance to the judgment and order dated January 8, 2010 passed by Supreme Court in Special Leave Petitions (Civil) filed by the state.
