4 Yatris imprisoned for impersonation

Kangan: A local court here on Friday penalized four Amarnath Yatris from the north India for masquerading as VIPs and seeking undue benefits during the Yatra.
 Judicial Magistrate, Kangan, Khursheed-Ul-Islam slapped nine months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 500 each on Chandi Lal Khera son of Ramji Das of Old Teezab Mill Shadra, Puneet Gupta son of Shyam Prakash Gupta of Shadra, Lalit Chabra son of Ashok Chabra all of New Delhi and Niket Kumar Gupta son of Babu Ram of Meerut.
 The Magistrate said the accused would have to face another month of imprisonment should they fail to pay the fine.
 The police station Sonamarg had filed a complaint against the accused and arrested them after they pretended to be from a national party. The accused, police said, had sought special arrangements like police escort and boarding and lodging during their Kashmir visit.
