39 pouches of illicit liquor seized, bootleggers held
Jammu: Police in Reasi has claimed to have seized 39 pouches of illicit liquor in two separate raids at Bhagga and near Yog Ashram in Udhampur Friday night.
Police said it intercepted three persons at Youg Ashram and during frisking recovered 10 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession. The accused have been identified as Kaka Ram son of Nathe of Bhagta teshil, Rakesh Kumar son of Tirath Ram and Ramesh Kumar son of Om Parkash of Parthal Tehsil and district Reasi.
Similarly, police while frisking at Bhagga recovered 29 pouches of illict liquor from the possession of Rakesh Kumar and Ramesh Kumar and arrested them.
Meanwhile, Police in Katra recovered 60 intoxicant capsules from the possession of Ishfaq Ahmed of Sudhmahadev tehsil Chanani of district Udhampur on Friday night.
