Back from Delhi, Soz meets Guv, CM

Srinagar, July 3: Senior Congress leader and president of the state unit of Congress, Prof Saif-ud-din Soz has said that the Centre is worried over the prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley.
According to a local news gathering agency KNS, Soz, on his arrival from New Delhi Saturday, met the chief minister, Omar Abdullah and state Governor, NN Vohra Saturday and discussed with them the situation prevailing in the Valley.
Soz during his 2-day stay in New Delhi had meetings with Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, union home minister, P Chidambaram and defence minister, A K Antony. “Soz informed and discussed with them the latest situation in the valley. He informed them about the tension which prevailed in valley in the aftermath of the killings by state police and central paramilitary CRPF,” it reported.
Soz informed CM and Governor about his meetings. He informed them that the Centre was equally worried about the situation and said serious attempts were being made to restore normalcy,
“Soz also conveyed the messages of PM and UPA chairperson to them,” the news agency reported.
