Do something for the people of Kashmir
It is very disturbing to hear about the plight of people in Kashmiris. The only medium of information available for us outside J&K state is your esteemed paper which we access from our laptops otherwise the biased Indian media is giving a distinctly different picture. Highlighting fewer episodes of beating police personnel or damaging police vehicles and calling the protesting Kashmiris as paid mobs is the only thing we expect of these shrill patriots, the so called Indian journalists. Over and above this, the immature attitude of our CM who on one hand describes his inability to control central forces and on the other hand is giving such thoughtless speeches without realizing that it is the people of Kashmir who have elected him to the post of CM. He as a CM, should know the needs and demands of his people and should understand their sentiment which is completely lacking in him. I appreciate Sajad Lone for his brave views, Mehbooba Mufti, Saif din Soz for their efforts to give clear picture of the turmoil in J&K on Times Now. I would request Chief Minister to get a lesson from Mani Shankar Aiyer when he said that all protests are provocative and it is the duty of the law forcing agencies to save the people in such emergencies and not to kill them.
I urge all the political leaders of Kashmir, without affiliation, to come forward and look beyond their personal interests and do something for the society and save Kashmiris from this aggression. I urge NC leaders who have a mass support like Ali Muhammad Sagar, Mir Saif ul lah, Mir M Shafi, M Ramzan etc. to have introspection and try to invent something within NC, something which is beyond Sheikh Dynasty, the evil force in Kashmir and do something for the people of Kashmir.
