Yasin Malik released

Srinagar, July 4: After nearly three weeks of detention, police released the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, on Sunday, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement.  
Malik was arrested from Lal Chowk on June 18, when he along with other JLKF activists courted arrest against the increasing human rights violations at the hands of police and other armed forces in the Valley.
Malik after his release, according to the spokesman, decided to call the meeting of JKLF’s executive council on Tuesday to discuss the prevailing situation in the Valley.
