Theatrical performance
It was yet another theatrical performance by one of the senior Congress leaders on a Delhi-based news channel. I was shocked see Mani Shanker Aiyer condemning killing of innocent Kashmiris because I have heard Aiyer during the Amarnath land row. That time he was all against Kashmiri people and their euphoria of freedom. What shocked me more was that neither Prime Minister nor Home Minister uttered a word of sympathy for the poor Kashmiris. So how come the Congress leader took such a risk. But then he is from a party which is known for pursuing double-standards. On one hand P. Chidambram endorses every word of Omar Abdullah and on other Aiyer endorsed every word of Mehbooba Mufti. This is what needs to be looked at in a broader perspective and this all reminds me of Ghulam Nabi Azad saying "Congress has got the key which will decide the formation of Govt in J&K.”
