Army deployed in sensitive areas: DGP

‘Don’t Violate Curfew’

Srinagar, July 6: The Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda on Tuesday said that Army would be deployed at “very sensitive places” across the Srinagar city from Wednesday morning.
“Army has been requested and it will be deployed at very sensitive places at the first light. People have been requested not to violate curfew. Police and CRPF have been directed that the law and order should be maintained,” the DGP said in a statement issued late in the night.
He said that no violation by “miscreants” would be allowed, while forces had been asked to maintain restraint. “We urge public to help the authorities to maintain law and order,” the DGP added.
