Srinagar, July 7: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday apprised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram about the law and order situation in the Valley on a day when the army conducted flag marches in Srinagar.
'Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spoke to both of them over phone.
Earlier in the day, Home Secretary G.K. Pillai, who arrived in the Valley on the instructions of the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh,  held a closed-door meeting with  the Chief Minister Abdullah, along with the Director General (Military Operations), Corps Commander of the Army's Srinagar-based 15th corps and state Director General of Police.
