Curfew shows Govt’s frustration: Aasiya

Srinagar, July 7: The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi on Wednesday said the government imposed curfew and restrictions to thwart the Hurriyat (G)’s s sit-in  program against the killings.
 “New Delhi has been holding on to Kashmir forcibly since 1947. The
restrictions enforced by the Army today shows Government’s frustration to quell the peaceful protests,” Aasiya told Greater Kashmir.
“The so-called government called Army to restore so-called normalcy and on the other hand termed it as routine convoy to camouflage its helplessness. However, the Army maintained that it accepted the job on
the requisition of the state government. This has exposed the
Government,” she said.
She said despite restrictions, people in many parts of Pulwama,
Srinagar, Budgam and Varmul staged a sit-in. She urged the people to make the conglomerate’s sit-in on Thursday a success.
Aasiya also condemned the slapping of Public Safety Act on the High Court Bar Association President, Mian Abdul Qayoom.
