Srinagar, July 6: The High Court Bar Association (HCBA) on Tuesday accused police of “murdering” three Islamabad youth in cold blood last week.   
 The Bar in its report said the youth Ishtiyaq, Imtiyaz and Shujat-ul-Islam were killed by three police officers.
 “Do what you can, we have killed the youth,” the Bar report quoted police officers as having told the locals.
 “Killer policemen after descending from Rakshak vehicle entered the lane and resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing killing two youth on the spot, while one of them succumbed on way to hospital,” the report added.
 Family members of the deceased told Bar Association team that an FIR no. 26/2010 registered by police claims that youth were killed by unidentified gunmen which is totally baseless and concocted.
 “There was no protest or stone pelting in the area, where the youth were killed on the fateful day,” report quoted eyewitnesses as having said. 
 It added that top officers were 1000 metres away from the spot where the killings took place. “These killings were carried out on their instructions. They should be arrested and punished according to law,” report added.
 The report has rejected the magisterial inquiry saying, “Inquiry officer is subservient to the accused and he cannot conduct an impartial probe against his higher- ups. He will put his job at stake by holding free and fair probe.”
 Report states that people have demanded a high level probe by High Court judge or else they would approach the court.
 The 4-member Bar team, which includes its president Mian Abdul Qayoom, general secretary Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, former secretary Muhammad Ashraf Bhat and working committee member visited Islamabad on July 4, on a fact finding mission and to express sympathies with the bereaved families
