JKFA, Kakroo hail Wadoo

Srinagar, June 9: The J&K Football Association and former Team India captain, Abdul Majeed Kakroo have hailed international footballer of the state, Mehraj-ud-Din Wadoo for cementing his place in India National team for next eight months.
Former team India captain, Abdul Majeed Kakroo said, “It is big achievement and he has made whole state proud. After Ishfaq being named as Mohun Bagan skipper this is another big news for the football fans of the valley.”
“By signing contract he is now part of Asia Cup squad. It is after 1984 that Indian team will be playing in Asia Cup. Last time it was when I was part of India team that we qualified for Asia Cup,” he said.
The J&K Football Association has also hailed Wadoo for signing contract and becoming part of Asia Cup squad.
JKFA President Zamir Ahmad Thakur said, “It is a great achievement and he has made all of us proud. We are happy to see our two big stars, Mehraj and Ishfaq reaching pinnacle of their careers.”
“Mehraj along with Ishfaq is role model for our young generation. With their achievement the morale of each and every young aspiring footballer is getting boost,” he added.
