‘Save Pashmina industry’

Srinagar, June 10: The Pashmina Manufacturers’ Union and Kashmir Shawl Makers’ Union today at a meeting discussed the problems the Pashmina industry is facing in Kashmir.
 The unions jointly appealed the Valley exporters to refrain from exporting machine-made Pashmina and embroidery items. “Quality control is key to success and survival. Exporters should always keep this in mind,” the members of the unions said.
 They said the survival of Pashmina industry was in the hand of exporters. “They should not misuse the Kashmir brand,” they said.
