Kargil, Leh EJAC leaders call on Rather

Srinagar, June 10: A delegation of Employees’ Joint Action Committee, Leh and Kargil, recently called on the finance minister, Abdul Rahim Rather and apprised him about the problems being faced by the employees of the districts.
 The delegation was led by the minister for CAPD and transport, Qamar Ali Akhoon, and the executive councilor for Ladakh Pahari Development Council for agriculture Haji Ghulam Amir.    
 They appealed to the minister for fulfillment of Ladakh employees’ demands especially special duty allowance and compensatory allowance.
 The finance minister, according the EJAC statement, assured the delegation that the demands would be looked into and necessary steps taken.
