Strong proponent

Kashmir survey sponsored by Libiyan president Gaddafi's son must serve as eye-opener to some of our leaders who are still living in the past. Only 2% of the people favour Pakistan and majority favour Independence. It is time to compliment Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah who always supported the idea that Kashmiris should decide their fate themselves and who strongly objected to the tribal invasion of 1947 since that was a move to annex Kashmir with Pakistan forcibly. Sheikh Sahib was a staunch proponent of idea of "Kashmiriyat" and that is what this survey depicts.
