3 killed, 5 injured in mishaps

Srinagar, June 11: Three persons were killed and five others injured in road accidents in Valley.
 A vehicle (JK05B-4623) hit Muhammad Aziz Khan of Faqeer Bagh Chandoosa at Chandoosa Varmul killing him on the spot.
 A truck (JK09-2070) a motorcycle (JK013A-9754) at Aarahama Shopian killing the rider Suhail Ahmad Hajam of Batipora Shopian.
 Khalid Javed Adds: Fata Begum, 45, wife of Muhammad Ismail Dar of Hassanpora Bagh Koimoh, Kulgam was crushed by train near Hassanpora Bagh while she was crossing the railway track. Hundreds of people staged demonstration against the killing and shouted slogans against the Railway police. “The railway police have failed to stop such incidents from happening,” the protestors said adding many people had been hit by the train in the area from the past two years. Senior police officials rushed to spot and pacified the agitated people.
 Meanwhile, a car (JK01K-9843) on way from Srinagar to Sopur hit and injured Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Rather of Tengpora Bye-Pass near Shikargah Parimpora.
 A tempo Traveler (HR38H-1249) on way from Jammu to Srinagar hit a car (JK02AK-8810) at Kaigam Awantipore injuring four persons.
