Pul college hold progs on Env week

Pulwama, June 11: The degree college Pulwama observed the world environment week by holding many programmes from June 5 to aware students about environment preservation.
 During a programme, Principal Dr. Muhammad Aslam Baba highlighted the hazards of environmental pollution and asked the youth and civil society to evolve solutions to combat the menace, a communiqué issued by the college said.
 A symposium ‘Save Earth-Save Future’ was held in which 12 participants spoke. On June 6 de-weeding drive was held in the college campus while as on June 7 a cleansing drive was held, it said adding a students rally was also held on June 8.
 Noted environmentalist, Prof. S G Sarwar deliberated on ‘Preservation of Biodiversity with Special Emphasis on Dal Lake,’ it said adding a painting competition was held in which students from different schools participated.
 It said that on Friday, extensive lecture was delivered by HoD Zoology, Prof. Gulzar Ahmad.
