US delegates meet VC

Srinagar, June 11: A 22-member team of scholars from US based universities on Friday called on the Kashmir University, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Riyaz Punjabi to discuss student exchange programs and other initiatives.
Prof Punjabi stressed on the need to have more student exchange programmes between the KU and other reputable institutions within and outside the country.
“The student exchange programs,” he said, “had several advantages, including promoting students’ intellectual development and providing economic resources for the state economy.”
The KU PRO said: “The delegation hosted by the Business School represented a broad spectrum of academic backgrounds and universities from California, Texas, Pennsylvania. Montana, Connecticut, and Philadelphia. Dr. Vishal Mangalwadi, faculty at William Carey University, Pasadena, California and internationally-known writer and author of 15 books, is among the visiting delegation.”
