PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Jaipur, June 12: Union Minister Farooq Abdullah today said a collective effort on the part of politicians, regardless of their party affiliations, is needed to combat crime and corruption in the country.
Addressing a conference on ‘Leadership for building new India’ organised by Brahmakumaris in Sirohi district, the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy said a new India can emerge only after political parties unitedly make an effort to weed out the two evils from society.
“Naya Bharat (new India) will remain a dream until political parties come together to stop the rise of crime and corruption,” he said.
