‘Police used to quell Kashmiris’ voice’

Srinagar, June 13: Various separatist parties have vehemently condemned the killing of 17-year-old Tufail Ahmad Mattoo at Rajouri Kadal here by the tear smoke shell allegedly fired by the police, describing it inhumane act.
Police brute force: Jama’at
Jama’at-e-Islami today described police as “brute and dreadful force used for suppressing the just voice of Kashmiris.”
Condemning police atrocities and expressing solidarity with the families of victims, its spokesman, Advocate Zahid Ali demanded the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations and wishes of the people as envisaged by the UN resolutions.
The party expressed happiness over the release of Ghulam Nabi Sumji, Masarat Aalam Bhat and Muhammad Rafiq Ganai and demanded release of other political prisoners.
Jamiat warns of dire consequence
Jamiat Ahlihadith expressed concern over what it said “ongoing killing of teenagers.”
In a statement, after the meeting of its Majlis Mushawarat, Jamiat President Moulana Showkat Shah, said the recent killing should be an eye opener to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Sing who talks about zero tolerance to rights violation.
Moulana Showkat warned of dire consequences if “present genocide” was not stopped.
Meanwhile, a decision was taken in the meeting about the election board. The meeting unanimously resolved to appoint election board of eminent scholars and committed members. The Majlis decided to conduct the election of president in July this year.
India can’t suppress Kashmiris struggle: PL
Peoples League members visited the residence of teenager, Tufail Ahmad Mattoo who was allegedly killed by a tear smoke shell fired by police. The members expressed solidarity with the bereaved.
Its acting chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said India would not be able to suppress Kashmiris’ struggle by using brute force and termed the killing as inhumane.
Troops continuously killing innocents: ICHD
Kashmir Council EU and International Council for Human Development Brussels, Chairman Ali Raza Syed has condemned the alleged murder of a 12th class student, Tufail Ahmad Mattoo.
In a statement, he alleged that troops were continuously killing innocents in the valley. He also denounced the series of fake encounters.
Rake up Kashmir killings with India: APICC to Pak
The All Parties International Coordination Committee, president, Dr Misfar Hassan has urged Pakistan to rake up the killing of innocents in Kashmir with India.
Addressing Kashmiri political activist, Dr Hassan said India suspended talks after the Mumbai terror attack and the killing of teenagers in valley was sufficient reason to suspend any negotiations with India.
