3 illegal establishments sealed

Jammu, June 14: In order to check unethical practice by quacks, the Drugs and Food Control Organization (DFCO) sealed three illegal establishments across Jammu and Samba districts.
The sleuths of the department sealed two such establishments in Samba at Phase II (Madhera) Industrial Estate SIDCO complex Border Road, Samba and Mela village Hiranagar.
The DFCO inspecting team also sealed Mahotra Health Clinic Opp. Jewel Hotel, Jammu. The DFCO authorities have warned of stringent action against the persons engaged in illegal unethical trade.
The department is contemplating action under schedule J to the Drug and Cosmetic Rules 1945 against the defaulters who are claiming prevention or cure for certain diseases and ailments through drugs prescribed and dispensed by them. The department has launched a vigorous drive against the quacks following the High Court directions.
