Jamiat condemns teenager's killing

Srinagar, June 14: The Jamiat Ahlihadith Jammu and Kashmir today expressed serious concern over what it termed as genocide of teenagers.
 After a meeting of Majlis Mushawarat of Jamiat Ahlihadith, its President Moulana Showkat Shah said “the recent killing should serve as an eye opener to the Prime Minister who talks about zero tolerance to human rights violation. If the genocide of teenagers is not stopped it could have serious consequences,” he warned.  
 On the occasion, Moulana Showkat urged the international community to initiate efforts for resolving the dispute.
 The members from Ladakh, Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Jammu, Banihal, Kupwara, Islamabad, Kulgam, Budgam, Shopian, Ganderbal and Srinagar participated in the meeting. The meeting unanimously resolved to appoint election board comprising of eminent scholars and committed members. The Majlis decided to conduct the election of president in July this year.
