Speaker reviews POs' conference arrangements

Srinagar, June 14: The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir, Legislative Assembly, Muhammad Akbar Lone Monday reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming 75th Presiding Officers (PO) Conference and 53rd Secretaries Conference in Srinagar City.
He asked the officials to make the events a grand success in the “interest of society, State and country”.
An official handout said Lone was addressing a high level meeting to finalize the arrangements with regard to five days conference scheduled to be held from June 19, 2010 to June 23.
The speaker said that “J&K is known for the hospitability and sociability all over the globe and hoped that the delegates are facilitated and taken care of as per the traditions of the State.”
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to the arrangements made by the concerned departments. “These included transportation, security, Medical facilities, renovation and beautification of Legislature complex, cleanliness, boarding and lodging, Post Conference Tour to Gulmarg and providing of timely printing and supply of all the material related to the conference,” the handout added.
