1 killed in communal clash

Noida, June 15: One person was killed and around a dozen injured in a clash of two communities at Kalunda village of Uttar Pradesh on Monday night as communal tension in the area continued today.
 A dispute between two members of the communities had flared up into a communal clash on last night and some houses were set ablaze by a mob.
 Fire fighters, however, managed to put out the fire and save the houses.
 PAC men were deployed after the clash and additional forces were deployed today to avert fresh violence. Communal tension continued to prevail in the village till late this evening.
 Meerut Commissioner Sharvan Kumar Sharma, IG (Police) Chandraprakash today visited the Kalunda village, talked to the members of the two communities and appealed for communal harmony in the area.
