Cross LoC Trade remains suspended
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, June 15: While the deadlock between the traders and the district administration continued, trade across Line of Control from Chakan-da-Bagh remained suspended for the third consecutive week on Tuesday. The traders have also decided to suspend the trade next week, if their demands were not conceded.
The weekly trade was suspended by the traders two weeks back following deletion of some items from the list of `tradable-items’ allegedly by the administration. “No items were exchanged today as we decided to suspend the trade for the third consecutive week today”, a trader Krishan Singh told Greater Kashmir.
He said the administration and the centre had turned deaf ear towards their problems and demands, which will further aggravate the situation.
Meanwhile, a meeting of Executive body of Cross Loc Traders Association was held, which was attended by Haji Munsh Khan, Pawan Anand, Krishan Singh,Rajeev Tandon, Ifthikar Khan, Abdul Gani and Muhammad Amin Magery. It was decided that the trade shall remain suspended next week also. (With inputs from Dhanuj Sharma)
