Half truth: when shall they come out with the full?

This refers to the article titled "Kashmir is irresponsible" by Muhammad Shafi Khan (GK June 13th). We should not expect anything from the so-called intellectuals or poets who are crazy for getting awards and attending photo-sessions. Some hair-raising accounts have remained untold in Aatish-e-Chinar means that author has presented half truth to the readers. Whatever the consequences, he should have presented the facts as they were even if it would hurt somebody. Truth always hurts. A common Kashmiri knows that our intellectuals write to remain in limelight and collect awards. It is dishonor to Arundhati Roy and Aga Shahid Ali to compare them with intellectuals or poets of Kashmir. Take case of Shopian tragedy. Recently tens of NGOs of India and many intellectuals individually approached chief justice to re-investigate the case and none of NGOs or intellectuals from Kashmir was seen in the group. So many women forums condemned the Shopian tragedy. Women forums in Kashmir seem to be unaware of what has happened. There has not been a single report from women forums of Kashmir about Shopian tragedy.
