Yasin Malik announces Jail Bharo from Friday
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation
Front has called for jail bharo agitation from Friday against the ‘genocide’ of Kashmiris by troops.
“Our younger generation is being slaughtered by the troops. Genocide of Kashmiris is being carried out in a systematic way. We can’t remain mute spectators to this situation,” Malik told Greater Kashmir.
“Front leaders will court arrests at Lal Chowk here on Friday followed by Sopur on Saturday (June 19),Pulwama on Monday (June 21), Handwara on Tuesday (June 22), Ganderbal on Wednesday (June 23), Budgam on Thursday (June 24) and Islamabad on Friday (June 25),” he said.
“After 2008 people’s revolution, hundreds of our youth have been martyred by bullets, shells and batons. Our innocent youth are being picked up and killed on LoC,” Malik said.
Reacting to Army’s Northern Command Chief Lt. Gen. BS Jaswal’s statement that Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was a holy book for the forces, he said, “This is being done to boost the morale of Indian troops to kill Kashmiris. In Nadihal fake encounter case even the accused Major and Colonel haven’t been arrested yet despite their involvement in the crime.”
“The latest killing of Tufail Ahmad Matoo is a glaring example of state terrorism,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Front has strongly condemned the police action against Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University students in Rajouri.
