Srinagar, June 17: To further expand its network and ensure delivery of financial services to customers at closest possible destinations, J&K Bank is opening thirty more branches in the coming three months in the state.
This was revealed by Abdul Majid Mir, Bank’s Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer, while speaking at an impressive function soon after inaugurating the new premises of the Bank’s TRC branch here at Raj Bagh today.
“The idea behind opening 30 more branches is to ensure enhanced levels of customer convenience and give flip to our state-centric strategy,” Mir said, adding that Rs 12000 crore advances in J&K by the bank reflected its commitment to “Dr. Drabu’s philosophy of J&K First.” Stating that the credit for Bank’s swelling profits goes to its customers, Mir urged people to avail its products “to better their lives.”
“Our products are highly customized and have been designed with an aim to empower people. You are always welcome to our business units to help us serve you to your satisfaction” he said.
On Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Mir asserted that J&K Bank as a conscious corporate citizen was undertaking people friendly initiatives to make certain that Bank’s progress and profits were shared with the people and society.
Speaking on the occasion Abdul Hamid Banday, Bank’s Zonal Head for Central Kashmir described the need to redesign and shift the older and cramped branch premises to newer and spacious ones as part of Bank’s endeavor to bring more comfort to customers.
“Using traditional Panjrakari and Khatamband in the interior designing of our new business units, apart from making branch ambience a warm experience, is part of our innovative approach towards CSR”, Banday said.
Assuring customers of continued support from the Bank, Banday said that he expected Shafi Rasool, head of the TRC business unit, to give more comfort to the customers by encouraging personal touch to banking in his unit.
