Transfer policy

This refers to a recent notification and circular issued by J&K Higher Education Department with regard to transfer policy. A similar trend should be followed in other departments including School Education Department. Besides the Jammu and Kahsmir government should implement the already documented regulations for smooth functioning of its various departments. Transfer after a requisite period is mandatory otherwise some employees, especially clerks, make safe havens by remaining stuck to the same place of posting for years. Even some employees enjoy lifelong postings at the same place. This is one of the major causes giving rise to malpractices among government functionaries, lack of work culture and corruption.
