4.5 Qntl polythene seized, 30 fined

SRINAGAR: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation seized 4.5 quintal of polythene from the City in past two days, an official handout Friday said.
 It said seven Challans were slapped against the “erring traders” violating the norms.
 Besides, it said, 23 traders were booked under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act from areas like Batamaloo, Maharaja Bazar and Karan Nagar.
 Meanwhile, the SMC Health Officer Dr Reyaz Ahmed has asked the people to avoid use of polythene, a banned product.
