Arifeen Colony appeals for road, drainage repair

Srinagar, June 18: The residents of Arifeen Colony, Ellahi Bagh, Buchpora near CRPF camp on Thursday appealed the local MLA and concerned authorities to get the area roads and drains repair at an earliest.
The residents said: “Dilapidated roads and drains put us to inconvenience throughout the year”.
“During rains as the sewage water overflows the drains into the entire area and makes it inconvenient for us to move out of our houses,” the locals said.
“The problem is more so for children and elderly,” they added.
Given the summer season, the residents apprehend outbreak of epidemic “due to filthy conditions”.
“We several times approached the concerned authorities but they ignored our locality,” they added.
The residents appealed the local MLA and concerned authorities to look into the matter.
