Panic stricken parents start `contact programme’

Rajouri, June 18: Recent incidents at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University have created sense of insecurity not only among the students but even among their families.
 Family members of some students are trying to meet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to ensure security of their wards before sending them back to the varsity after summer vacations. Parents have also started a “contact programme” to chalk out future course of action.
 “Parents of the Valley based students are concerned about the safety of their children. We will send our wards to the university after the Chief Minister’s assurance,” Siraj Ahmed, father of one of the students told Greater Kashmir
 He said that the parents of these students have spent huge amounts on admission and they had every right to ensure the safety and quality education for their wards.
