Academy artists mesmerize Parliamentarians

Srinagar, June 20: The artists of Academy of Art, Culture and Languages mesmerized parliamentarians, JK legislators and presiding officers at SK International Convention Centre, here on Sunday. Displaying the multicultural diversity of the state, the artists performed different folk song and dance items which were appreciated by the audience comprising 300 Presiding Officers-Speakers, Deputy Speakers, Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons-and Secretaries of the Legislature bodies.
The items that were performed today included Kashmiri Rouff, Ladakhi folk, Dogri Chatni, and Kud Dance besides other items. The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Lok Sabha Speaker, Meera Kumar, Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha, K. Rehman Khan, Speaker Assembly, Muhammad Akbar Lone, Dy. Speaker, Sartaj Madni, Secretary General Lok Sabha, PDT Acharya, Secretary General Rajya Sabha, Dr. V. K. Agnihotra, Deputy Speaker Lok Sabha, Karyamunda, and Principal Secretary, Lok Sabha, DN Pandey among many others.
