Khanda Bhawan appeals for revamp
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar June 20: The residents of Khandabhawan Nawa Kadal in Shahr-e-Khaas have appealed the local MLA and concerned authorities to get the area electric poles, lanes and by-lanes repaired at an earliest.
The residents said: “Dilapidated lanes and the old and decayed electric poles put us to inconvenience”.
“Dilapidated roads lead to waterlogging. During rains, the water accumulates in the potholes…We face inconvenience in moving out of our houses”, the locals said.
“Pedestrians, especially schoolchildren and aged often slip on the uneven lanes,” they added.
“Besides,” they said “the old and decayed electric poles have slanted and the transmission lines were not in a good condition.”
“There is every possibility that the transmission lines may collide and it can lead to a mishap,” they added.
They sought replacement of the transmission lines on priority basis. Besides, they appealed that the streetlights be installed in the area.
“We will be obliged if our genuine requests are considered,” they said.
The residents appealed the local MLA and concerned authorities to look into the mater.
