KU, BOSE, IUST postpone exams

Srinagar, June 20: Kashmir University has postponed all its examinations scheduled to be held on June 21.
A KU spokesman said fresh dates shall be notified separately. “However, the examinations for Jammu Chapter will be held as per schedule,” the spokesman said.
The J&K Board of School Education has postponed the bi-annual matriculation examination and Elementary Teachers Training Course in Kashmir division, scheduled to be held on Monday.
The Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, also postponed all its examinations, scheduled to be held on Monday. “This includes the entrance examinations as well,” said Dr Muhammad Amin Bhat, assistant registrar at IUST.
“Fresh dates shall be notified separately,” said the BOSE secretary, Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmad.
Meanwhile the interviews for the posts of sub-inspectors (Police) scheduled to be held on June 21, 22 and 23 have also been postponed. “The new interview schedule shall be announced separately,” said a spokesman of the Police Headquarters, Srinagar.
