Preserve it
This refers to the box letter titled "Let’s preserve our mother-tongue at any cost" by Aushaq Hussain Dar (GK18 June 2010). I appreciate his thoughts and commitment to preserving the mother tongue-kashmiri [kashur]. He has rightly analyzed that there is growing trend of adopting western culture, as majority of the people prefer to speak foreign languages and are feeling inferiority complex while speaking in their mother tongue. Rightly stated by him, educational institutions besides government have a definite role to play in this regard.
